A FAMILY BUSINESS
Founding Generations of DeYoung

OUR HISTORY
Since 1835
The DeYoung family owns the oldest wholesale jewelry business in the United States. Their history dates back to diamond cutting in Holland before they emigrated to Boston in 1835. As the business expanded into diamond dealing, it soon broadened its focus to include natural pearls, colored gemstones, and antique jewels, establishing a legacy of exceptional and varied offerings.
During the Great Depression, when banks were foreclosing on jewelry manufacturers, dealers, and retailers, the DeYoung family acted on the opportunity to acquire many exquisite gems, including several famous and royal jewels. As the company extended its reach into wider domestic and international markets, the family also played an active role in industry organizations—most notably as one of the earliest members and governors of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in the 1950s.

There is no experience quite like finding a one-of-a-kind vintage treasure that you connect with. These pieces have already stood the test of time and elevate personal style to a new level.
